Above all, BIFF celebrates filmmakers and believes creating a warm, inviting and fun week is what makes us special.

Your participation in the Festival is central to our mission of bringing filmmakers to Barbados to share their unique story-making process and facilitating networking opportunities through filmmaker excursions, workshops and collaboration grants.

Each night films are paired with locally inspired events linked to highlighting the rich cultural and physical attributes of Barbados. Whether swaying to Caribbean rhythms under the stars at the outdoor Walled Garden Theatre, tasting local food and drink linked to film themes or screenings on the beach, BIFF infuses a uniquely Bajan flavor into every event.

We encourage our filmmakers to stay the week and enjoy the festival and the many activities that are planned. In short, we endeavor to ensure the BIFF experience is enjoyable, stimulating and a great way to kick off the new year!
