Welcome to the Third Edition of BIFF

January 11-20, 2019

The Barbados Independent Film Festival highlights the work of filmmakers, producers and actors from around the world. The Festival provides a platform for independent films that embrace the power of storytelling to inform, inspire and entertain. The Festival screens films and shorts that celebrate the power of resilience and humankind’s ability to overcome adversity.

Jury-selected filmmakers enjoy complimentary accommodations and access to the Festival’s gala and special events. Special filmmaker excursions will also showcase the island’s incredible history, beauty, culture and leisure activities.

The Festival will host an array of special events, all set within tropical and lush settings across the island.


A Gallop to the Ocean

A short film which explores the cultural relationship between racehorses and the beautiful tranquil Caribbean ocean along the shorelines of Pebbles Beach, Barbados.
